SI Fusion
The SI Joint Fusion is a minimally invasive procedure to stabilize an injured sacroiliac joint and relieve pain. The sacroiliac joint, located in the pelvis, links the iliac bones to the sacrum. It is an essential component for shock absorption to prevent impact forces from reaching the spine. After a small incision is made, usually ranging from 2-3 centimeters long, a triangular shaped titanium implant is inserted across the sacroiliac joint to maximize postsurgical stability and weight bearing capacity. The SI Joint Fusion procedure results in rapid and sustained pain relief. For more information, call to schedule an appointment with one of our Pain Experts.
