Dr. Mohamed Elkersh lived in Boston, Massachusetts while attending Harvard Medical School. Throughout his travels, he always enjoyed the culture of Southern Louisiana, which encouraged his decision to permanently reside on the Northshore. Dr. Elkersh is an avid polo player and member of the New Orleans Polo Club. In his free time, he enjoys traveling the world, something he is most passionate about. Travel affords Dr. Elkersh the opportunity to experience different cultures and traditions, something that has given him a deeper level of appreciation and respect for others.
Education: Dr. Mohamed Elkersh received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his surgical internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida and in 2002 he completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Miami, Florida. Dr. Elkersh has also completed Pain Medicine fellowship training at Harvard Medical School. After practicing in Los Angeles, California for 18 months, he moved to Louisiana.
Certifications: Dr. Elkersh is a Double Board-Certified Pain Medicine Physician from The American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
